My aim is to see past the label of a diagnosis or the particular issue that a client is coming in with. I want to get to know the client first, understand them as a person who happens to have some difficulty within a certain area. I understand that finding a therapist to connect to could be difficult and that is why I strive to be completely open-minded, empathic, and understanding to all of a client’s needs.
My experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults has helped shape the way I practice. I believe in working with the family members of clients to strengthen the cohesion and trust within a family so that the client’s sense of self could be empowered.
I find that the support given between therapist and client could be the most nurturing and healing factor in therapy. That is why in my therapy work, I strive to help clients develop insight into their own processes and provide the groundwork needed for recovery and coping.
I accept United Health Care plans only at the moment. Out of Network as well.
