Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that focuses on using client-centered therapy through individual and group sessions. I aim to support my clients in their own journey through recognizing and addressing potential setbacks that stand in the way of them living a healthier life.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, as I am trained in motivational interviewing, narrative therapy and also incorporate art and mindfulness-based practices in my work.
My hope is that through collaborative work, we will practice having a new set of “tools” to use when facing daily issues. Over time, the goal is to see the progress that can happen in one’s life by taking different actions and using different tools than before.
In my years of practice, I have worked with individuals who are coping with communication breakdowns, transition issues, and addiction struggles. In addition, I currently specialize in perinatal mood disorders and symptoms that often emerge such as anxiety, depression, anger, shame and feelings of being disconnected from oneself and others. I truly believe that all the pain and struggles of the past and present, are there for the fuel needed for a better life. We now give it a reason and make necessary changes. We take care of ourselves and are able to be there for the ones we love in return.
