I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 22 years. Since that time, I have worked in the public mental health system in all aspects of care. I have worked with hundreds of people with psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders and supported their families in their own related struggles. I have also worked in private practice specializing in couples therapy and individual therapy with adults and adolescents. I also currently teach new Social Workers at Monmouth University to use basic social work values and skills that define quality services.
My experience and training over many years has helped me to create a very accepting and laid- back style of working with people. I know that people across all walks of life deal with challenges as a matter of human development as well as due to the challenging society of which we are all an equal part. I like to help individuals and couples to mold inevitable challenges into strengths that will become part of a happier future. I believe this is possible for all challenges including addiction, depression, anxiety, stress, infidelity, emotional and physical intimacy issues, divorce, blended families, etc., etc., etc, It is through productive therapeutic relationships that these challenges will be overcome.
