Kristen received her Masters of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from the College of New Rochelle and holds both her ATR and LAC. She has experience working in a variety of settings with diverse populations, including children with chronic health problems, short-term adult inpatient, and families struggling with safety and communication. She currently works full-time at a group home for adolescent boys providing art therapy, psychotherapy, psycho-education, and case management.
Kristen has a specialization in phototherapy (photography based art therapy) and has worked independently as a photographer since 2013. Recognizing the power of images and creation, Kristen seeks to promote self-awareness and understanding in her clients in order to better express complex thoughts and emotions.
In her personal life, Kristen enjoys spending time with her goldendoodle (and future certified therapy dog), creative writing, and yoga.
